Visa Corporate Travel Card Auto Rental Insurance** (ARI)
Information
Visa Auto Rental Insurance provides worldwide coverage up to the full value of
most rental cars for damage or theft when certain terms and conditions are met.
Here are some important facts to remember about this coverage:
- The entire rental transaction must be initiated and paid for on your
valid Corporate Travel Card to activate the Visa Auto Rental Insurance
coverage.
- You must decline the car rental company's collision damage waiver
(CDW/LDW) option, or similar provisions if offered by the car rental
company.
- Rental periods which neither exceed nor are intended to exceed 31
consecutive days are covered worldwide.
- Visa Auto Rental Insurance is primary coverage worldwide when an auto is
rented primarily for business purposes. You do not have to claim payment
from any other source of insurance before receiving coverage under the
policy.
- Visa Auto Rental Insurance coverage is not valid in certain areas
outside the U.S.A., where prohibited by law or by car rental company
policy.
- Visa Auto Rental Insurance coverage is collision damage coverage only.
It does not cover injury to persons, nor to property other than the
rental car as it was originally manufactured.
- Most rental vehicles are covered. However, certain vehicles such as
certain vans and expensive, exotic, and antique automobiles are excluded
worldwide. Please call the Visa Assistance Center with questions
regarding specific vehicles.
- If you have an accident, immediately, but in no event later than 20 days
(not applicable to residents in certain states) following the date of
damage or theft, cal the Visa Assistance Center at 1-800-VISA-911, or
your claim will be denied. If you are located outside the U.S.A., use
the appropriate international toll free number shown on your card. The
car rental company is not responsible for filing your claim under this
program unless you are traveling outside the U.S. and sign a Cardholder
Agreement Form (which will be provided by the Car Rental Company).
